A spread of chutney gives these sandwiches
an extraordinary zip!
Grilled
Ham and Chutney Sandwiches
- 1 (9-ounce) jar Major
Grey's Chutney
8 slices thin French bread
1 small tomato, sliced
8 slices ham
4 slices cheddar cheese
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
- Spread chutney evenly
over 4 slices of bread. Top each with tomato slices, 2 slices
ham and 1 slice cheese. Top with remaining bread slices. Brush
top and bottom bread slices with butter.
- Grill sandwiches in large
skillet over medium-high heat for 3 to 4 minutes on each side
or until golden brown. Cut in half.
Makes 4 servings.
