A terrific Asian marinade perfect for beef, pork, poultry and seafood.
1/2 cup beef broth
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup sliced green onions
3 tablespoons dry sherry, apple juice, orange juice, or pineapple juice
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
4 cloves garlic, minced
- In small bowl stir together beef broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, green onions, sherry or juice, sugar, ginger, and garlic. Pour meat or fish. Turn to coat meat or fish. Marinate in refrigerator at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours, turning occasionally. Drain meat or fish, discarding marinade. Grill.
Makes enough for 1 1/4 pounds of meat or fish.
