
Whether you are camping, fishing or visiting
the fishmonger, fresh trout on the fire makes a scrumptious meal.
Pan
Fried Whole Trout
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup white or yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 trout
- In a shallow dish, mix
the flour, cornmeal, salt and cayenne pepper.
- Dredge the trout in the
flour mixture and set aside.
- Heat and oil a cast iron
skillet and fry the fish for about 4 to 6 minutes on each side,
or until the meat flakes with a fork.
- Take off the heat and
serve immediately.
Makes 4 servings.
