California Roasted Asparagus
Oven-roasted asparagus drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette is so good, it's almost addictive—one delicious spear after another!
1 pound asparagus spears, trimmed and cleaned
Minced garlic to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Balsamic Vinaigrette or reduced balsamic syrup
- Place asparagus spears on baking sheet; drizzle with olive oil and minced garlic, toss to coat and spread in a single layer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Roast, uncovered, at 450°F (230°C), shaking asparagus pan once or twice to turn spears, about 12 minutes.
- When done, asparagus should be crisp-tender.
- After asparagus is plated, drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette or reduced balsamic syrup.
