The citrus and nut flavors blend to complement the glories of fresh asparagus.

Chilled Asparagus with Hazelnuts

1 to 1 1/2 pounds fresh asparagus
Dressing:
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest
2 teaspoons fresh orange juice
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped roasted hazelnuts
  1. Steam asparagus until crisp-tender. Drain well; chill.
  2. Whisk together all ingredients for the dressing, except nuts. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle over chilled asparagus, then top with the chopped hazelnuts.

Serves 4 to 6.

Note: If you like, you can use the dressing on warm asparagus as well.
