This side dish is simple to prepare and delicous enough to serve company! Tender-cooked cauliflower florets are layered with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and toasted sesame seeds and baked just until heated through.

Company Cauliflower

2 teaspoons sesame seeds
1 medium head cauliflower
Dash of salt
Dash of pepper
1 cup sour cream - divided use
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Cheddar cheese - divided use
  1. In shallow pan toast sesame seed 10 minutes or until browned, shaking pan occasionally.
  2. Rinse cauliflower and separate into small florets. Cook in a 2 quart covered saucepan, in 1 inch boiling salted water, 8 to 10 minutes or until tender; drain well.
  3. Place half of cauliflower in a buttered 1 quart casserole; season with salt and pepper, spread with 1/2 sour cream and sprinkle over 1/2 cup cheese. Top with 1 teaspoon sesame seed. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  4. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes or until heated through.
