Standard baked beans 'doctored' with chopped apples, raisins and a smoky barbecue sauce.
1 (16-ounce) can pork and beans, drained
1/3 cup bottled smoky barbecue sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tart apple, peeled, cored and finely chopped
1/2 small onion, chopped
1 tablespoon raisins
2 strips bacon, chopped
- Mix together all ingredients in a 1-quart casserole; bake uncovered in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 45 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
