1 pound asparagus
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Balsamic vinaigrette or reduced balsamic syrup
- Toss asparagus spears in olive oil and minced garlic
- Place on baking sheet in single layer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Roast, uncovered, in a preheated oven at 450°F (230°C), shaking asparagus pan once or twice to turn spears, for about 12 minutes. When done, asparagus should be crisp but tender.
- After asparagus is plated, drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette or reduced balsamic syrup.
