Sweet Potato Apple Dish

No recipe image available.Deliciously easy! Cut-up canned sweet potatoes are combined with apple pie filling, cinnamon, walnuts, coconut, melted butter and topped with miniature marshmallows.

Recipe Ingredients:

1 (28-ounce) can sweet potatoes, drained and cut up
1 (21-ounce) can apple pie filling
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups miniature marshmallows

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sweet potatoes, pie filling and cinnamon and pour into a greased, 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle nuts and coconut evenly over top and drizzle with butter.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes; top with marshmallows and bake for another 5 minutes or until marshmallows are toasted golden brown.

Makes 8 servings.
