In an herb bouquet, herbs are tied together, or put tied into a cheesecloth, for seasoning.

Herb Bouquet

3 or 4 sprigs parsley
1 sprig thyme
1 bay leaf
1 sprig dill
  1. Tie herbs together and drop into simmering soup, stews, braised dishes and sauces as flavoring. Take out before serving.

Makes 1 herb bouquet.

Cook's Note: In bouquet garni, the amount of any ingredient can be decreased or increased as desired according to personal tastes.
