White Bean Chili with Shrimp and Aged Cheddar Cheese
A quick and easy white bean chili with aged cheddar cheese and an oceanside twist in the mix — shrimp.
Recipe Ingredients:
2 (15-ounce) cans Great Northern or other white beans, drained
1 (15-ounce) can Mexican-style tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 teaspoon chili powder
12 ounces uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
3/4 cup shredded Wisconsin Aged Cheddar Cheese
Cooking Directions:
- In a large saucepan, combine beans, tomato sauce, water and chili powder. Cover, then bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in shrimp. Cover, then cook over medium heat for 3 minutes longer.
- Ladle chili into serving bowls. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons cheese over each; serve immediately.
